Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Friday (8/25) — Madhouse Films’ iconic director Yoshiaki Kawajiri presents a legendary dhampir competing with a motley family of bounty hunters to return a young woman, who has been seemingly abducted by a vampire, to her family. (2000)
Perfect Blue
Friday (8/25) — Directed by Satoshi Kon, a pop singer gives up her career to become an actress, but she slowly goes insane when she starts being stalked by an obsessed fan and what seems to be a ghost of her past. Satoshi Kon’s infamous psychological thriller was released in 1997.
Wild Zero
Saturday (8/26) — Only legendary Japanese garage rock band Guitar Wolf can stand between a race of aliens from destroying earth with an army of zombies. This 1999 iconic comedy horror film was directed by Tetsuro Takeuchi.
Battle Royale
Saturday (8/26) — In the future, the Japanese government captures a class of ninth-grade students and forces them to kill each other under the revolutionary "Battle Royale" act. Director Kinji Fukasaku created the infamous Battle Royale 2000.
